Local girl, raised between Hawaii and Cali. Sakara has a passion for travel but always finds her way back home. Â With over twenty-five years of event production and management experience, Sakara cannot allow a bad party. She loves to create, design, style and entertain. After spending a short amount of time with her clients, Sakara can envision exactly what it is that they want, even if they can’t, and will do whatever necessary to manifest that vision. She does better without a budget but if you have one, Sakara can make it look like you didn’t.
As DH Catering + Event Planning was created in 2006, Sakara has the pleasure of working with all the top purveyors in town which allows her to procure you the best product for the best price. Sakara’s team will design, plan, negotiate, manage and execute every detail with ease so you too can enjoy the celebration.

Originally from Redondo Beach, California, Tessa began her career at Gina Wade Creative in West Hollywood, working in the areas of Event Design & Production, Brand Marketing, Venue Sales & Consulting. Clients included; Netflix, Delta, Hulu and Amazon.
After spending many summers in Hawaii, she decided to make the move across the Pacific and joined the DH Catering team in 2018. Tessa brings a broad range of event experience in Intimate Cocktail Parties, High-End Weddings, Corporate Events and Awards Shows.Â
Formally a Division 1 Athlete, Tessa brings the same commitment, strive for excellence and agility to all clients she works with. In her free time you can find her at the beach enjoying the waves, playing volleyball and searching the island for the best Hawaiian Food!

Of Native Hawaiian descent, Kekoa was born and raised on the Island of Oahu in the true spirit of Ohana or Family as the Hawaiian culture emphasizes that families are bound together and members must cooperate and remember one another, whether blood-related, adopted or intentional. He brings this spirit of ohana and offers it as a foundation to every ceremony he is a part of.
Kekoa currently resides on the South Shore of Oahu with his partner, Sakara, and his two children. When not performing wedding ceremonies or blessings, he is producing music, enjoys family activities and anything that gets him out in nature, especially in the ocean.
